Agricultural Law
The modern farmer faces many legal issues. Liability for injuries to people and property cause by animals; lawsuits brought by neighbors for offensive odors and noise produced by farming ; how to plan your estate to continue the farming tradition if only one child wants to persue that field; environmental issues such as water and air pollution; the different types of business organizations available to farmers. As a member of the American Agricultural Law Association I receive monthly newsletters and have access to other resources to keep informed about recent developments in laws that concern people in some of the agricultural fields.

Guardianship
As a result of illness and or age, a person may become incompetant to conduct his financial or personal affairs. If there is no power of attorney providing for someone else to handle his/her affairs, a guardian can be appointed by the court. This requires a legal proceeding. Call for details.

Civil Litigation
A person is injured in a car accident caused by the neglegence of the other driver; a defective product injures a consumer; a customer refuses to pay bills for services or materials. All of these situations may be grounds for a civil case. Call for a free appointment to see if you may have grounds for a lawsuit.
